Where do WHS students come from? The Kindergarten - 12 Academic Pathway, also known as a school feeder pattern, keeps neighborhood children together as they move upward from elementary school, to middle school, and finally to high school.

Achieving a balance between safety and convenience can be tricky. But, everyone can do their part to help keep the line moving. Students can help increase safety, reduce the wait, and get to class on time by following these guidelines as they pass through the security checkpoint:

• Place all small items (phones, ear buds, keys, etc.) into a clear, 1-2 gallon ziplock bag

  • Do NOT place Chromebooks in the ziplock bag

• Remove Chromebooks from school bags/backpacks

• When called...

  • Place your ziplock bag and Chromebook on the conveyor belt

    • Do NOT place school bags/backpacks on the conveyor belt

  • Walk through the detector with your school bags/backpacks

• If the light shows...

  • Red, gather your belongings and proceed to the bag check station

  • Green, gather your belongings and get to class!

Then your student will be called and meet you at the doors!

Does your kid have a mid-day dentist appointment? Did they suddenly get sick? Are they meeting the president for brunch? Whatever the reason, if a student needs to be released early from school, please do the following:

• Park in Visitor Parking in the Staff lot just east of the school off of Scenic Drive

• Go to the main entrance at the northeast side of the school building

• Ring the bell and wait for entry

• Stop at the window and inform the Attendance secretary of your students name, location (if known), and reason for early release

• Complete the green "Student Early Release Log", including:

  • Leave Time, Student Name, Parent/Guardian Name & Signature, and Reason for Release

Then your student will be called and meet you at the doors!
